Celebrating Natural Stone: FUM Australia’s Wunderkammer Event and Verona Marmomac 2025

2025-10-15 | Corporate News

At FUM Australia, we believe that natural stone is far more than a material — it is a story of time, transformation and artistry. This year, we had the privilege of celebrating that story through two defining moments: our immersive Wunderkammer event at our Crestola quarry in Carrara (Italy) and our presence at Verona Marmomac 2025, the world’s leading exhibition for natural stone and design.

Both experiences captured what drives us as a company: the pursuit of beauty, authenticity, and innovation in the world of natural stone and marble.

A Night of Wonder in the Quarry

For one unforgettable evening, our quarry transformed into a true Wunderkammer — a chamber of wonders — where stone, light and imagination met in breathtaking harmony.

Under the glow of artful illumination, the quarry’s monumental walls and unfinished stone forms came alive with texture, depth and mystery.
Guests, including architects, designers and collaborators, were invited to experience stone in its purest form — raw, powerful and full of narrative. Each surface, vein and fracture reflected the geological history that makes natural stone so unique.

Wunderkammer celebrated not just the material itself, but also the wonder it inspires. It was a reminder that every block of marble or limestone tells a story millions of years in the making — a story that continues through the hands of those who craft and create with it today.

FUM Australia at Verona Marmomac 2025

Our journey of wonder continued on the world stage at Verona Marmomac 2025, where FUM Australia proudly represented our commitment to the natural stone industry.

Held annually in Italy, Marmomac is the global meeting point for stone experts and enthusiasts who share a passion for excellence and innovation.
Visitors explored our collection and learned about the geological origins, sustainable quarrying methods and design versatility that define our materials. From richly veined to understated elegant marble, our display reflected both the diversity and integrity of natural stone.

Beyond exhibition, Marmomac was an opportunity to engage in dialogue — to exchange ideas about sustainable stone production, the future of architectural design and the ways in which technology can support responsible craftsmanship. Through these conversations, FUM Australia continues to help position natural stone on the global stage.

Educating Through Art and Industry

At the heart of both events lies our mission: to educate, inspire and elevate appreciation for natural stone.

Through the Wunderkammer event and Marmomac showcase, we invited audiences to rediscover stone as a living, evolving material — one that connects history, environment and design. Each project we undertake is an opportunity to demonstrate how thoughtful sourcing, innovative fabrication and artistic collaboration can transform natural stone into timeless works of architecture and art.

From the quiet stillness of our quarry to the global stage of Verona, FUM Australia continues to celebrate the enduring allure of natural stone. These two events — one intimate, one international — reflect our dedication to creativity, community, and the spirit of wonder that drives our industry forward.

We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, both in Australia and in Italy, to share in these unforgettable moments. Together, we reaffirm our belief that natural stone is not just a material, but a masterpiece of nature — timeless, expressive and endlessly inspiring.

Looking forward to what’s to come next year!
